Furniture Trade Shows

Which Event Fits Your Buyer Goal?

Furniture trade shows are not interchangeable.

Which furniture trade shows are coming up?

Event Verified dates City / country Published focus Buyer fit
The 31st China International Furniture Expo 2026 September 7-11, 2026 Shanghai, China International furniture exhibition with furniture, upholstery, mattresses, office furniture, outdoor furniture, tables, chairs, materials, and hardware listed on the event site Best fit for FBA private-label buyers comparing manufacturer capacity, product lines, category breadth, and export-oriented furniture suppliers
Decorex 2026 October 11-14, 2026 London, United Kingdom High-end interiors event with furniture, lighting, fabric, flooring, kitchen, bathroom, tiles, and accessories shown in the event categories Best fit for premium home, design-led furniture, luxury interiors, fabric, lighting, and brand-positioning research
Aqua Art Miami 2026 December 2-6, 2026 Miami, United States Art fair in the Miami Art Week group with an exhibitor list and visitor information published by the event Better fit for art-adjacent discovery and gallery relationships than standard furniture factory sourcing
Art Miami 2026 December 1-6, 2026 Miami, United States Contemporary and modern art fair with galleries and acquisition-focused positioning published by the event Better fit for collectible objects, gallery inventory, art-led interiors, and high-end visual direction
CONTEXT Art Miami 2026 December 1-6, 2026 Miami, United States Contemporary art fair connected to the Art Miami family of events, with gallery listings and visitor information Better fit for emerging art, collectible-design adjacency, and market taste signals rather than production sourcing

The calendar splits into three buying moments.

Shanghai comes first. London follows five weeks later. Miami concentrates three related art fairs in the same December week, with Art Miami and CONTEXT opening December 1 and Aqua opening December 2.

That timing matters. A seller using Q4 2026 to shortlist suppliers for a 2027 furniture launch should treat Shanghai as the production-sourcing stop, London as the premium-design calibration stop, and Miami as a taste and gallery-market stop. Those are different jobs.

Which event fits supplier sourcing?

Furniture China is the closest match for supplier sourcing in this group.

The event site lists broad furniture categories: contemporary furniture, international brands, furniture design, upholstery furniture, mattresses, custom-made furniture, office furniture, outdoor furniture, tables and chairs, and materials and hardware. That category spread gives a private-label buyer more room to compare factories, product constructions, component choices, and adjacent product lines in one trip.

The event also publishes scale signals on its official pages: 350,000 square meters of exhibition area, 3,200+ suppliers, and 200,000+ global traders. Those figures are organizer-published event scale, not independent supplier verification. Use them as a planning signal, not proof that any individual exhibitor can hit your MOQ, lead time, or quality target.

For an Amazon FBA furniture seller, the buyer fit is direct: shortlist categories before the show, request booth appointments, bring product-spec sheets, and compare supplier answers across materials, packaging, carton size, testing documents, and export experience.

Which event fits premium furniture and interiors?

Decorex fits premium interiors more than mass furniture sourcing.

The event presents itself around high-end designers and lists product categories that include furniture, lighting, fabric, flooring, kitchen, bathroom, tiles, and accessories. Its official page also publishes 12,500+ design professionals and 280+ suppliers and makers for 2026.

That makes Decorex useful for a different buyer question: not “Which factory can produce my first private-label run?” but “Which materials, silhouettes, finishes, and premium interior references are shaping buyer expectations?”

For FBA sellers, Decorex is less likely to be the main factory-discovery trip. It is more useful when the product line sits near premium interiors: accent chairs, lighting, fabric-led home products, decorative accessories, higher-price indoor furniture, or design-sensitive bundles.

Do not compare Decorex and Furniture China as if they do the same job. One is the stronger fit for broad production sourcing. The other is stronger for premium design context and interiors positioning.

What should buyers do with the Miami art fairs?

Aqua Art Miami, Art Miami, and CONTEXT Art Miami should not be treated as ordinary furniture sourcing fairs.

The event pages position them around art, galleries, collectors, modern and contemporary works, emerging art, and Miami Art Week. The word “furniture” in a category screen does not turn these fairs into manufacturer-vetting venues.

That does not make them irrelevant. A home, decor, or furniture brand can use Miami to read design direction, gallery merchandising, color, material expression, art-object pricing context, and collector-facing presentation. That is market taste work, not supplier qualification.

For private-label sellers, Miami is a secondary stop unless the assortment crosses into wall art, sculptural decor, collectible design, artist collaboration, or high-end interior styling.

How should an FBA furniture seller choose?

Use the event according to the decision in front of you.

Validate a factory before placing a deposit None by itself A trade show introduction is not supplier verification

A booth meeting is a starting point. It is not evidence that the exhibitor owns the factory, controls production, or can repeat sample quality at order volume.

Before outreach, prepare one page per target product: dimensions, material, finish, load requirement, carton limits, target landed-cost range, testing needs, and first-order quantity. Then compare every supplier against the same sheet.

What should buyers check before booking meetings?

Keep the pre-event screen short.

Ask each target exhibitor for:

  • business license name and English trading name;
  • factory address and showroom address, if different;
  • product category photos from current production, not only catalog renders;
  • export markets served in the last 12 months;
  • MOQ by material, color, and packaging variation;
  • sample lead time and pilot-run lead time;
  • packaging dimensions and drop-test history for bulky items;
  • certificates or test reports tied to the exact product type, where relevant.

Walk away if the supplier will not state whether it is a manufacturer, trading company, or brand owner. Walk away if every capability claim depends on a salesperson’s answer and no document, address, sample record, or production evidence supports it.

Trade shows compress discovery. They do not remove due diligence.

Agence Octo SAM supplier-fit checks help structure verification before outreach, especially when buyers need comparable evidence across multiple furniture suppliers before a deposit decision.
