Which packaging trade shows are coming up?
The useful question is not which packaging trade show is biggest. The useful question is which event matches the product decision you need to make before you spend the travel budget.
This shortlist is limited to events with published 2026 dates available as of August 16, 2026. It is not proof that no other packaging events run before February 16, 2027.
A private-label seller looking for sachet packaging, closures, cartons, plastic components, processing suppliers, or pharma-adjacent packaging will not get the same value from every event on this list. The dates also matter. Three events happen before mid-September 2026, two happen in October, and two happen in November.
| Event | Published dates | City / country | Published focus | Buyer fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CPhI Korea 2026 | Aug. 25-27, 2026 | Seoul, South Korea | Pharma event with packaging included in the event scope | Buyers comparing packaging suppliers in a pharma-adjacent event environment |
| ProPak India 2026 | Aug. 26-28, 2026 | Mumbai, India | Food, beverage, pharma, and FMCG packaging, plus processing | Buyers who want a packaging event with broad consumer-goods relevance |
| Pharmaconex 2026 | Sept. 1-3, 2026 | Cairo, Egypt | Pharmaceutical industry event with packaging included in the event scope | Buyers evaluating packaging around pharma-sector suppliers and regional access |
| CPHI Milan 2026 | Oct. 6-8, 2026 | Milan, Italy | Pharma event connecting global industry participants, with packaging included in the event scope | Buyers who want a large Europe-based pharma-adjacent sourcing trip |
| ProPak Hanoi 2026 | Oct. 13-15, 2026 | Hanoi, Vietnam | Packaging and processing event | Buyers watching Vietnam as a packaging and processing sourcing stop |
| Advanced Design Manufacturing Expo Montréal 2026 | Nov. 10-12, 2026 | Montreal, Canada | Advanced design and manufacturing across automation, robotics, energy efficiency, packaging, plastics, processing, and more | Buyers comparing packaging within a wider manufacturing and design event |
| Plastic & Rubber Indonesia 2026 | Nov. 17-20, 2026 | Jakarta, Indonesia | Plastics, rubber, mould, die, and plastic recycling industries | Buyers whose packaging search overlaps plastics, rubber, moulding, or recycled materials |
How should FBA sellers choose between these events?
Choose the event by the supplier question you need answered.
If the question is “which packaging supplier can support food, beverage, pharma, or FMCG packaging at commercial scale,” ProPak India is the cleanest fit in this roundup because the event page names those buyer contexts directly. It is also the earliest dedicated ProPak event listed here, running August 26-28, 2026 in Mumbai.
If the question is “which packaging options sit inside pharma-sector sourcing,” compare CPhI Korea, Pharmaconex, and CPHI Milan. These are not interchangeable. CPhI Korea is first on the calendar. Pharmaconex adds a Cairo stop one week later. CPHI Milan gives European access in October and is the only event here with an organizer-published 2025 visitor range of 59,000-62,000 in the comparable attendance group.
If the question is “which event helps me compare packaging with plastics, processing, or manufacturing inputs,” ProPak Hanoi, Advanced Design Manufacturing Expo Montréal, and Plastic & Rubber Indonesia deserve attention. The Montréal event is broad by design, spanning packaging, plastics, processing, automation, and design. Plastic & Rubber Indonesia is narrower around plastics, rubber, mould, die, and recycling.
That distinction matters. A broad manufacturing event can surface adjacent suppliers you would miss at a narrower packaging event. A narrower materials event can save time when the packaging decision depends on plastic parts, moulding, resin choices, or recycled-material claims.
What do the published scale figures say?
Scale is useful only when the metric is comparable. In this roundup, four events publish actual 2025 attendance figures or ranges that sit in the same comparable group.
| Event | Published 2025 attendance evidence |
|---|---|
| CPhI Korea 2026 | 10,722 visitors |
| ProPak India 2026 | 15,000 visitors |
| CPHI Milan 2026 | 59,000-62,000 visitors |
| Plastic & Rubber Indonesia 2026 | 18,284 visitors |
Do not use this table to rank supplier quality. Attendance does not prove packaging depth, exhibitor relevance, factory capability, or private-label fit.
Use it as a planning signal. A larger event can justify a longer meeting schedule and tighter pre-booking. A smaller event can still be the better trip when its category focus matches your sourcing objective.
What should buyers check before booking meetings?
Do the supplier screen before the trade show, not after the booth conversation.
Ask each target exhibitor for:
- Business license name and export entity name
- Product category list that matches the packaging you need
- Factory address, not only sales-office address
- Minimum order quantity by material, print method, and SKU count
- Unit-price assumptions for tooling, plates, molds, artwork, cartons, and samples
- Certificate copies only when the packaging claim requires them
- Recent production photos or videos tied to the same material and format
A booth proves presence. It does not prove manufacturing control.
For FBA private-label buyers, the first filter is fit: material, format, MOQ, tooling cost, and repeat-order reliability. The second filter is evidence: who makes the product, who exports it, and which entity will appear on the invoice and shipping documents.

What red flags should stop a trade-show shortlist?
Walk away if the supplier cannot explain who manufactures the packaging.
Walk away if the booth contact gives a sales-company name but refuses to identify the factory entity. Trading companies can be useful. Hidden trading companies are the problem.
Walk away if the MOQ changes sharply before the supplier sees your artwork, material spec, print method, and packaging dimensions. A real MOQ depends on production setup. A floating MOQ is a negotiation signal.
Walk away if the supplier pushes “same as Amazon sample” without asking for the product weight, carton dimensions, drop-test needs, barcode placement, label requirements, or marketplace destination.
Walk away if the supplier treats certifications as decoration. A certificate should match the material, factory, product scope, and issuing body. A PDF with no connection to the actual packaging order is not evidence.
How should buyers use the calendar?
Use the August and September events for fast discovery. CPhI Korea, ProPak India, and Pharmaconex are close enough that buyers need to pre-book meetings before travel decisions are final.
Use October for regional comparison. CPHI Milan and ProPak Hanoi sit one week apart, but they serve different sourcing maps. One points toward a large Europe-based pharma-adjacent event. The other points toward Vietnam as a packaging-event stop.
Use November for materials and manufacturing adjacency. Advanced Design Manufacturing Expo Montréal and Plastic & Rubber Indonesia are stronger fits when packaging overlaps plastics, processing, design, automation, rubber, moulding, or recycling.
The best event is the one that lets you make the next sourcing decision with fewer unknowns. Dates and venue matter. Supplier fit matters more.
